Synopsis:
Athidhi revolves around Ravi (Venu Thottempudi) and Sandhya (Aditi Gautam), a couple living in a large house. Ravi becomes curious when he sees a mysterious figure in the backyard one night, and things take a turn when the ghostly encounters continue. The series delves into themes of fear and the unknown.
Analysis:
Athidhi attempts to engage viewers with supernatural elements and ghostly encounters, similar to movies and series in the horror thriller genre. However, the execution falls short of expectations. While the concept of ghosts and thrills is present, the series fails to sustain the curiosity and thrill it initially sets up. The twists in the plot do not add significant depth to the story, and the horror elements lack the impact needed to captivate the audience.
The narrative does not effectively build on the suspense and leaves the audience with more questions than answers. The series could have explored the supernatural aspects in a more compelling manner to keep viewers intrigued. The twists in the later episodes do little to enhance the overall storyline.
The performances by the cast are decent, with Venu Thottempudi playing the lead role competently. Avantika as Mayi and Aditi Gautam as Paridhi showcase noteworthy acting skills. However, the characters could have been given more depth and dimension to enhance the impact of their roles.
